1. Signs of the End Times

The Lord Jesus commanded us not to shut the doors but to be sober and watch and be rapture at the Lord’s voice. This is not only merely a rumor but also the Lord’s promises and expectations for us. "So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors" (Matt 24:33), "But of that day and hour knows no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only" (Matt 24:36), and "Watch you therefore: for you know not what hour your Lord does come" (Matt 24:42). From these scriptures above, we can see the Lord’s expectations and commands. If we are able to become the wise virgins who focus on hearing the voice of God and who consider likely to seek to welcome and listen to the Lord’s voice, being not complacent at all, we can witness least bit of the myriad of earthquakes, or Tsunamis that occur, we will be able to receive that, and can follow God’s footprints, entering into God’s kingdom.

Amidst the tumultuous changes in society, especially in and since the last 20 years since the internet age, we have seen the social, political, moral, and economic systems of many different countries shaken and overturned. Countless nations have been ravaged by the biblical distress of catastrophic events; of natural and manmade disasters. Daily news from various media tell us of fears and unrest that are increasingly stark and harsh. Society’s values and social environments have also changed greatly. With the unceasing disorder and anarchy, more and more religious people and Christians who have hoped and longed for the Lord’s return have had the same feeling they have never had before, becoming increasingly negative and weak, much less feeling the Lord’s love and compassion of old, even feeling forsaken by the Lord. Such people gradually forget to seek the Spirit’s work and to plan to welcome the Lord, who only passively wait in a negative depression once more!

1.1. Historical Perspective

There was an obvious relation between the continuity and stability of the church; many see the church as a leading institution. From that point of view, it is not surprising that popes like Urban II, Alexander III, Lucius III, and Innocent III produced particularly prophetic writings, explaining the need to act against errors and why the world was heading for the final Judgment. Chaos in the World.

The Holy Bible clearly speaks of chaos and instability as a modern phenomena. Without a doubt, instability is the current day cry. Political turmoil and instability is at the heart of this end time cry. Imagine the inability to establish a stable government in a nuclear capable country like Korea until missiles capable of reaching the USA are pointed at the country. That is the place we currently find ourselves in. Major countries like the United States are facing challenges of leadership stability. As the strongest and wealthiest country in the world, the United States has become acutely aware of challenges that are capable of derailing its stability. Contrary to their expectation, it can no longer boast of political stability and the world is becoming increasingly agitated by development in a sectional battle for its future direction.

2.2. Natural Disasters

1. The death toll of hurricanes has covered almost half a million. 2. Lightning kills from 2000 to 4000 people a year, although Global Weather Oscillations, a company that believes in the prophecy of Luke 21:11 regarding “monsters”, predicts annual lightning deaths of 3.070, that "provide some of the confirmation that we are in the end times now." 2.3. Economic Turmoil

Driven by the forces of insatiable lust and avarice, the evil gaze of the disbelievers, who constitute the principal agents of antichrist, is fixed upon your every possession. However, true knowledge and insight brings knowing. Satan's other objectives will be to create ways to bring forth instability and chaos which would bring the economy to its knees.

3.1. Social Unrest

Amid these growing global instabilities, two significant developments will begin to take place subtly and mysteriously. First, lands and people will experience an unprecedented oceanic die-off. Many animal deaths will also be reported on the dry land. Plague after plague will start to occur but be attributed to the increasingly unbearable conditions on earth.
